Joseph Häxan launches new photo-book with Parisian publisher CC Books

Photographer Joseph Häxan has launched a new archival photography book 'Grimoire' chronicalling works from 2017 to present in Paris this June. The book was also featured in the I Never Read book fair at Art Basel shortly afterwards. Of the book, Häxan says:

This art book and grimoire draws together a collection of ritual works that span all parts of my soul, worries, convictions and wishes, representing an effort to communicate these mostly intangible things to you in a beautiful, physical format. I am so grateful to my supporters for your connection and interaction with these pieces. One thing I am confident of, is that they have a way of finding those who need them. I recompile the works here as a testament to my conviction as a solitary practitioner, and as a record of the power you have given them. For archival purposes, given the recent and rapid rise of Al Image Models, I wish to mention that all images herein are photographic in origin, and are composited, not generated.

and CC Books adds:

C.C.BK is pleased to announce the release of Joseph Häxan’s first monograph covering works from 2017 until today. The book is 202 pages, 24x24 with a heavy coated cartboard cover with brilliant finish and thick coated paper with a matte finish.

The book is now available for purchase direct from the publisher:
